Company is honoured for its “passionate” business plan
Claire Priest, entrepreneurial head of Midlands start-up fashion company Blessd, which designs fashionable clothing for slim, curvy women, has won a national award for her business plan. The award, run by Crimson Publishing and in conjunction with NatWest, recognises the UK’s best new businesses and budding entrepreneurs.
Blessd specialises in fashionable clothing, designed to compliment a woman’s natural body shape. The Blessd-dressed woman is typically someone with a healthy, active lifestyle, with either a bust over a D cup or more generous than average hips in relation to their relatively trim, UK 8-16 waist size.
The Startups Awards judges commented: “The business plan presented by Blessd really did tick all the boxes. It is a great idea which fills a niche; the plan was well researched and showed passion throughout.”
On receiving the award, presented at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on Wednesday 31st October, Claire Priest said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to win this award, especially as it is such a prestigious national award at such an early stage in my business. This will really spur me on to make the company successful so that the brand can deliver on its promises to all the curvy women out there.”
Blessd will be launching its range at this year’s Eve Style Show, during the Clothes Show on the 7th-12th December at the NEC in Birmingham. “Next year I look forward to entering one of the categories for successful trading businesses,” added Claire.
